Thank You for Helping Us Meet our Partners for Life Goal!
Back in February, I wrote about our participation in the Partners for Life program with Canadian Blood Services. For those of you who didn’t see that post, being a Partner for Life means that Progressive Credit Union commits to a certain number of blood donations from our employees and members for the year. As noted before, employees are in no way pushed to do this – it’s a personal choice and we most certainly do not wish to impose this on someone who is not comfortable with giving. For those employees and members who do give and wish to have their donation included in our yearly total, it’s as simple as filling out a little form at the Blood Donor Clinic. The clinics all have a listing of Partners and our number is included in that listing (or you can find it right here: CAPI010575). Additionally, Atlantic Credit Unions have joined forces for a combined yearly commitment. You can find out more about that commitment here.
On that note, we have officially exceeded our goal by 15% for 2011 and we are grateful to each and every one of you who gave. We are proud of our relationship with Canadian Blood Services and appreciate that you have helped us to meet the goal that we set with them.
In addition to being a Partner for Life, Progressive recently joined forces with Omista Credit Union and NBTA Credit Union to become a primary sponsor of every blood donor clinic that will take place in the Fredericton area for the next 13 months. We are honoured to be a part of something that will allow Canadian Blood Services to better inform the public of the importance of blood donations and to do more promotion around upcoming clinics throughout the year. That said, there are several blood donor clinics coming up in Fredericton over the next two weeks – if you are able and willing to donate, you can find the schedule here.
Once again, thank you. Thank you to our PCU team and all of our members that helped us meet our 2011 goal! We appreciate you and your support and look forward to doing it again in 2012!
